DIVERSITY INTERVIEW PROGRAMS
Career Development hosts and organizes the Law In Technology Diversity Collaborative Program for 1L summer positions with tech companies and top-tier law firms, as well as the Legal Innovators alternative services provider recruiting diverse 3L students for post-bar positions. Additionally, Loyola participates in local and national diversity job fairs and programs, such as: • Workforce Recruitment Program for candidates with disabilities • Leadership Council on Legal Diversity 1L LCLD Scholars Program • ACC Southern California Diversity Summer Internship Program • Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair for LGBTQ+ candidates

Positions are posted free of charge on Loyola’s online job board, 12twenty, and accessible only to students and alumni. Application materials can be emailed to employers or collected online. Unless otherwise specified, announcements remain active for two months or until the position is filled. FIRST-YEAR STUDENT Describe any special regulations pertaining to the recruitment of first year students. For example, are first year students eligible for spring OCI? When are job notices posted during second semester?
First-year students at Loyola are encouraged to spend their first few months of law school focusing on their coursework and acclimating to law school. To that end, full-time first-year JD students may not apply to legal positions before December 1. However, 1Ls are permitted to participate in activities geared toward learning about the legal profession and professional development prior to December 1. Prospective employers should not begin soliciting applications directly from full-time first-year JD students prior to December 1. Part-time JD students may be contacted sooner. There are no timing restrictions related to informational interactions with full-time first-year JD students.
