For Employers who do not interview students on-campus, will you:

send, upon request, one package containing resumes/transcripts? Yes
post a notice directing students to apply directly to employer? Yes

If you provide job listings for graduates, describe how to send notice, when employers can expect responses, length of time notice is posted (whether in print or online), etc.
We continuously update our Symplicity Career Services Management System (https://law-uchicago-csm.symplicity.com/) so students, graduates, and employers can have complete and current access to postings at their convenience. Registered employers may post jobs and update employer information directly. No employer fees are charged for this service. Employers using the online system affirm their compliance with our Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination, and Anti-Harassment Policies (https://www.law.uchicago.edu/employers/policies) at each instance of posting an opportunity. For more information email [email protected]

FIRST-YEAR STUDENT Describe any special regulations pertaining to the recruitment of first year students. For example, are first year students eligible for spring OCI? When are job notices posted during second semester?
We welcome job notices directed to first year students at any time during the academic year. However, employers should not initiate formal one-on-one recruiting contact with students, including applications, interviews, or offers to first year students, before December 1. An exception for earlier recruitment is granted to government employers with extensive security clearance processes. Our Winter 1L Chicago Law Interview Program is exclusively for first year students: interviews are held in late early February. Interviews are held virtually. Like the August CLIP program, we rely on Symplicity to manage this program, and the winter procedures and processes closely follow those used for the August CLIP Program. There are no registration or service fees for Winter CLIP. Employers who register for Winter CLIP dates will be asked to affirm their compliance with all conditions set forth in our Equal Opportunity, Non-Discrimination, and Anti-Harassment Policies (https://www.law.uchicago.edu/employers/policies).
