Employers participating in OCI have the option to do virtual or in-person interviews.

As part of the MCGC Consortium, the University of Wisconsin Law School conducts off-campus interview programs in: Washington, D.C. - July 17, 2023 (Fees: Law Firm - $150; NP & Govt - $0); New York - July 18, 2023 (Fees: Law Firm - $150; NP & Govt - $0); Chicago - July 19, 2023 (Fees: Law Firm - $150; NP & Govt - $0); and Texas - July 20, 2023 (Fees: Law Firm - $150; NP & Govt - $0) The other schools in the program include: Emory University School of Law; University of California Los Angeles School of Law; University of Iowa College of Law; University of Minnesota Law School; University of Southern California Gould School of Law; and, Washington University School of Law. UW Law School students also participate in the Loyola Patent Law Interview Program, the Midwest Public Interest Law Career Fair, the Equal Justice Works Career Fair, the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association Bay Area Job Fair, and a number of other programs for diverse students (listed below).

The Office of Career and Professional Development will post a job for as long as an employer desires, at no charge. Applications can be sent as a packet on a date specified by the employer or generated as applicants submit their material. All jobs are posted online to our Symplicity job bank.

FIRST-YEAR STUDENT Describe any special regulations pertaining to the recruitment of first year students. For example, are first year students eligible for spring OCI? When are job notices posted during second semester?
First year students are eligible to participate in UW Law School’s spring OCI and employers are encouraged to recruit them through this program. Job notices are posted as they are received during the spring semester and after October 15 in the fall with an earliest application submission date of December 1.
